The Wright's of Jackson, Maine

This wonderful paper by Robert Lindsey, about an early family in the town of Jackson, Maine, which borders Monroe on the north, provides a glimpse into what daily life was like during the early history of Waldo county.  It answers a lot of questions about how these early settlers in Maine survived, and even prospered.
